Our Methodology

How We Train

At Ultimate Champions, we work on the skills the player is weak at until that weakness becomes a strength. The main focus is individual progress and improvement, not just playing games.

In order to be successful there has to be a strong foundation. If a builder is building a house, he must have a strong foundation in order for the house to stand properly over time. Well, the same is for any sport. There must be a strong foundation in fundamentals. It all starts with the proper fundamentals. The secret of all great players having a strong foundation in fundamentals.

We have options for a wide range of campers. We have camps for all genders and for campers ages 5-17

We have camps throughout the country and are adding more each year.  All upcoming camps and locations will be updated on our website.

On average: 9:00am - 4:00pm, but please check the details of the camp/clinic for confirmation. - This information will be available within the details of each camp and clinic prior to sign up and will also be included in your Camp Information Packets sent out prior to the start of camp.

There will be 1 staff member for every 10 campers.

Campers should bring

  • Indoor court shoes
  • Water Bottle
  • Sack lunch (most of our locations do not have food for purchase)
  • Knee pads (Volleyball Only)
  • Medications (If needed for emergencies ex. Epipen)
Additional camp specific details will be available for each camp and clinic prior to sign up and will be in the Camp Information Packets sent out prior to the start of camp.

Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch & snack to camp each day. No food or drinks will be available for purchase. We suggest a nutritional lunch that will be able to keep them energized throughout the day. Please reference our Nutritional Tips for extra guidance in this area.

- Drop off will begin 30 min prior to the start of camp. So if your camp starts at 9:00am drop off time will begin at 8:30am. This information will be available within the details of each camp and clinic prior to sign up and will also be included in your Camp Information Packets sent out prior to the start of camp.

Pick up times will be listed within the details of each camp and clinic prior to sign up and will also be included in your Camp Information Packets sent out prior to the start of camp.

Pick up times are as listed unless you have purchased an extended day option. Most of our camps and clinics conclude at 4:00pm so pick-up is 4:00pm sharp. If you have signed up for and extended day option pick up is anytime between 4:00pm and 5:00pm sharp

- For camps that are running during the week (M-F) that concludes at 4:00pm, campers

After care is available from 4:00-5:00pm. Please note after care hours are intended to offer additional convenience for working parents. Campers will be supervised during these hours and may participate in some camp activities, but sport instruction will not take place.

UC1

Nike Basketball Complete Skills Camp

Work on your offensive, defensive, and team play skills! Over the course of five days, you'll cover a wide variety of basketball drills tailored to players of all ability levels.

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

Nike Basketball Making the Team Camp

Join Ultimate Champions Basketball Academy Founder, TJ Jones, and staff in summer 2023 to learn what it takes to make the team in this popular day clinic and leave with more confidence in your game and a step up from the competition!


Making the Team Camp helps players of all abilities looking to make their school or club team. Campers will develop athletically, refine fundamental skills, and enhance their abilities at the post, wing, or guard position.

This  camp focuses on Team Skills (Setting screens, V-Cuts, reading the defense, rebounding from any position, learning positions 1-5). We will teach individual skills in this camp as well as teach each camper how to take his individual skills and implement them into game-like situations. Each camper will be placed in game-like situations that will force them to apply their individual skills in various scenarios. This camp is geared toward every level of basketball player from beginner to advance.

Nike Basketball Intro to Hoops Camp

The Intro to Hoops Camp is designed for our youngest campers that are new to the sport. Campers receive an introduction to basketball and will learn basic concepts, terminology, and gross motor movements from our encouraging and highly-skilled staff.

UC5

Nike Volleyball All Skills Camp

This volleyball camp provides girls and boys, ages 10-17, the opportunity to unleash their potential! This day camp offers players of all ability levels the opportunity to improve their skills and train with other athletes who love the game.

This All Skills program is geared towards players of all skill levels. Campers will master the fundamentals and develop proper mechanics through a mix of drills, games and competitive play. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level.

Nike Volleyball Systems, Rotations & Game Play Clinic 

In this Systems, Rotations & Game Play Clinic your player will gain the understanding of the 6-2 and 5-1 offensive systems. In learning these fast paced systems the essentials will be covered such as knowing the rotations, roles and responsibilities for each position on the court. They will also gain the knowledge to stay in system and what offenses can be used in different situations through live action implementation at the end of the clinic.

Nike Volleyball Serving and Passing Clinic

Join us for our summer volleyball camps that are designed to take your skills to the next level. This Serving & Passing Clinic is designed to focus solely on ball control and serve/serve receive. Learn how to get your opponents out of system from behind the service line and become a consistent passer in serve receive. This program is open to players of all abilities and positions. Campers will learn how to improve their technique through drill work, challenging games, demonstrations, and maximum repetitions.

Nike Volleyball Blocking & Hitting Clinic

Join us for our summer volleyball camps that are designed to take your skills to the next level. The Hitting & Blocking Clinic is designed to focus on hitting and blocking from all three front row positions. Learn how to become a more aggressive and smarter attacker, while also becoming more effective and skilled blocker. This program is open to players of all abilities and positions. Campers will learn how to improve their technique drill work, challenging games, demonstrations, and maximum repetitions.
